As we are now approaching the municipal election cycles where our town council members and board of education members will be elected it might be a good time for you to start asking the canddates where they stand and what do they know about Common Core and what is going to be taught to our children in our public schools.

Do you know what is being taught to your children or do you mistakenly think that our public schools are teaching our children to read, write and critically think like they used to do many many years ago?

Our taxes keep being raised yet for all of the money that is being spent what is happening in our schools? 
Are our children being better educated or are we just wasting our money on highly paid administrators who in turn waste money on highly over priced items that do not actually help our students?

Disturbing Trend - Acting without Questioning

It is rather discouraging to see all of the renewed racial divide in our country

Sadly the younger generation wants to follow the path of aggression & rioting led around by people who have an agenda;

But what is that agenda & how do you tell who is pushing that agenda against your best interest should be the questions asked.

Since so many young black & hispanic men & women are not gainfully employed they have too much time but seem to have allowed their anger at being unemployed to cloud their thinking so they don't question the motives of those who are encouraging them to riot.

Why would someone encourage you to riot for higher wages instead of encouraging you to get the skills needed for a better job?

Is it their motive to keep you in the lowest waged job so they can profit because truth be told they are denying you the opportunity to get a better life & better job by making that job for yourself?

Why is the union pushing for the unreasonable rate of $15 an hour for flipping burgers or cashier instead of encouraging people to get their own small store or restaurant?

Simple answer to that, the union heads get more money in their coffers the more people they can bring into their fold.

So it does not benefit them to have people educated & working in their own businesses or as independent tradesmen with skills

because like the old rhyme used to go 

April Showers bring May Flowers 

After this crazy snowy winter 

I am SOOO Ready for SPRING

Today I am missing a few of my friends who will not enjoy the sunshine & flowers & our growing grandchildren

I say prayers for their families that remain

I say Thank You to God

for my friends & family & friends I've not met yet

I thought it was a funny picture in the "weird sort of way" funny
Santa & an Elf snowboarding down the hill while an Alien Spaceship is overhead?

It made me wonder had they seen an old movie I watched as a child...
I do not recall the name of the movie at this moment;
but the plot was that Purple Martians kidnap Santa then Elves & Children save Santa & Christmas

Times were so much simpler back in those days for both Parents & Children
Our taxes were lower, our money worth more & although we didn't have technology like we do now it seems that back in those days families & friends were more connected with the people around them both at work & around the neighborhood.

Let's Live in the Christmas Spirit these last few days of 2014
There are families & single people who are in need of an act of Kindness...

Can you set an extra place at your holiday table for a senior or single who might not have a family table to go to this holiday season?

Do you know a family that is working & "over income" for any of the charity programs that might help pay the electric, heat or oil that maybe you can slip them a gift card for a tank of gas?

Is there a family that is on hard times that could use some help with the yard work or some repairs that your family could go over & spend a few hours helping them?

There are so many people who are lonely & in need of Simple Kindness
Let's All Do Our Part so that #LoveWins
